Wow, where did THAT week go? So it was a wonderful week full of all kinds of people saying nice things about the podcast. Let me tell you guys, my co-host and I are in constant communication about what we can do to make it even better. We will be recording on Sundays and it's looking like we'll be focusing more on movie and tv rather than music and some of the other minutia in pop-culture. That's probably more in our wheelhouse. This thing is just going to get tighter and better the more we do it (just like exercise, or so I'm told).
So where was the content this week? Well for one thing this White Ribbon review is killing me. It's a deep, complex film that has a lot to say and inspires a lot as well. Compound that with one of my busiest week's of work EVER (typically got home at around 9 every day) and you just weren't going to get new content.
Anyway, next week we'll get back on schedule with an entry a day PLUS you'll get some sweet podcast action.

Analysis: The sometimes controversial but always illuminating Matt Singer analyzes one of my absolute favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies Bringing Up Baby. Also at the AV Club, Scott Tobias considers Synecdoche, New York, a difficult film if ever there were one.
If you missed it, you MUST read this Esquire piece on Roger Ebert. Powerful and deeply moving, please, please, please read this.
Awesomeness (all QT edition): Someone made some amazing alternate Inglourious Basterds posters. I'd like these to cover my walls please.
And speaking of Quentin, the director purchased the New Beverly Cinema in Los Angeles. I have been a bad film fan and have not been to the New Bev, but I've heard nothing but good things. Amazing that QT has taken it upon himself to save this beloved institution.
Lists: The AV Club talked about the most frequently overused literary adaptations. But best of all they suggest some alternative choices from the same authors. So much fun.

Linkentine's Day
Analysis: Devin from CHUD talks about the deserving and undeserving snubs of this year's Oscars.
The AV Club also takes a look at one of my favorites from this decade, Let the Right One In. The truly GREAT vampire love flick from the aughts.
A solid primer for Buster Keaton. Don't know who that is? Read this article and FIX THAT!
Interviews: All around great actor Kevin Corrigan expounds on some of his past work. As does Mad Man Jared Harris.
Lists: io9 looks at the worst sci-fi Oscar snubs (in light of Moon's shut out). AV Club runs-down some of their favorite bad-asses.
My new plaid pants did their annual golden trousers awards. Fun choices as always.
Funny: Nate from Film Experience provides some amusing stats on this year's Oscar nominees. In an unusual reversal the AV Club (not CHUD!) talks about The Manitou.
What's this? Wes Anderson's Spider-Man? I'm there.
Finally, a comprehensive look at everything Avatar...uh..."borrowed" from.
Awesome: This is just great, the films of the 2000's.
Devin visited Bob Burns' museum of movie memorabilia and it is amazing. Check it here and here.

Link of Darkness
The best soundtracks and scores of 2009. Great picks.
The always clever and crotchety Devin Faraci just returned from Sundance and boy did he see a lot of movies. Many of them sound great. Can't wait.
Kim Morgan delivers a sharp, well written look at the influence of the late JD Salinger on film.
Miramax is folding, it's inevitable but sad. Here are several different tributes to the finest the company had to offer here and here.
An intriguing look at some unconventional Oscar picks courtesy of the House Next Door here and here.
Another tribute to Zelda Rubinstein here. Probably a bit less slapdash than mine.
Hey, you know When in Rome? Kristen Bell deserves better and here are some suggestions.
From the amazing folks who brought you the Robocop rap, here comes the Aliens rap.

The Tooth Link
Do you have netflix? If you don't you should, ESPECIALLY because God's special gift to film lovers, Criterion, has put a huge chunk of their film archive online for instant streaming. These are spectacular films and they're available to you to watch RIGHT NOW. Here is a list of but a few of the new great films they've added.
The AV Club was on fire this week with several fantastic articles. First up was a list of tough guys appearing in children's films (in honor of Jackie Chan and the Rock's most recent cash-grabs).
Noel Murray wrote a wonderful piece about what he is dubbing "fogeyism" though its really more about what's going on with auteurs and the state of independent film.
I don't often agree with The Playlist but they've put together wonderful list of breakthrough performances from 2009.
iO9 has a nice short piece about how to build character through action rather than dialogue.
Joblo had a cute venn diagram about Denzel Washington.
Over at Topless Robot they put together a list of the coolest firearms in sci-fi.

Linkbreakers
I also toyed with Link in Revolt. Also Link Year.
Lists:
The film-experience is doing a ton of decade related lists. Here are the best male and female performers of the decade. Also a run-down of the hundred best films of the decade here, here and here.
Kim Morgan put together a best of the year list. Clever and thoughtful as always.
Analysis:
The House Next Door continues to crank out wonderful entries on the most important auteurs of the decade. Here you'll get a run down of Miyazaki and Pixar. Here, you'll get Charlie Kaufman and David Chase.
Drew at Hitfix has a lovely review of X, the Man with X-Ray Eyes with lots of great links to pieces about Roger Corman.
Fun:
Devin at CHUD has two fun pieces from this week; a look at several ways to improve the theatrical experience and geeky musical projects.
The Lorax as a grindhouse film? Sign me up!
Hey ever wanted to reminisce about fictional eateries? Want no more.
And of course, the one that I feel I saw a thousand times this week, The Big Lebowski as a Shakespeare play.

Links HO!
Lists: Mr. Breaks continues his excellent list of the Best of the Decade here, here and here.
Cinematical provides a pretty thorough look at the best action films of the decade. This would be an excellent launching point for someone interested in this particular genre of the decade.
Here is a look at 100 Greatest Films outside the standard cannon, worth a look.
Time Magazine has posted its Top 10 of everything including films. You'll likely be shocked by their number one pick, but who knows, I haven't seen it yet.
Shock Till You Drop provides an excellent list of the Top 25 Horror films of the Decade.
Funny: Here is Disney's first movie featuring a JEWISH princess. Very funny.
An amusing music video on the plot-holes in Dark Knight.
Not everyone is a musical theater buff like me and thus been exposed to the theatrical and nerd train wreck that is It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman, but thank to the internet now you can.
The ISS has a funnier take down of the dreck I was baggin' on last week.
Interviews: The great Tony Curtis, hipster essayist Chuck KlostermanAnd Roger Ebert reminisces when actors were VERY candid about their interview answers.
Analysis: Two wonderful pieces from The House Next Door and Kim Newman takes an intriguing look at Eyes Wide Shut.
Miscellany: That gang from down South; David Gordon Green, Jody Hill and Danny "Kenny Fucking Powers" McBride have gone and gotten themselves a production company. Keep an eye on it people, these are three extremely talented young guys.
This got a lot of play this week so you may have seen it but here is David Lynch explaining why he didn't take George Lucas up on his offer to direct Return of the Jedi.
Check out these very detailed maps of Jurassic Park.

Everything is Link
End of the year, end of the decade, that means a butt-load of links. How much of a butt-load? If one were to quantify it into a unit of measurement I'd call it a Kardashian.
Lists:
Anyway lots of lists. Which you gotta love. Especially from my beloved AV Club.
The AV Club produced several phenomenal, thoughtful lists. Of the main list of the 50 best of the decade I've seen 42. This is nice because of the bragging rights but ALSO eight AV approved classics for me to seek out.
Here's what you can see:
Their favorite scenes of the 00's.
The best bad movies of the 00's (which got me to FINALLY rent The Room).
The best film performances of the 00's (which disappointingly seems to be lacking major comedy performances).
The best films of the 00's.
The orphans and personal favorites of the 00's.
Phew.
Also here are 9 badass actors in wussy roles.
Not enough to think about, how about a list of 100 films outside the classical cannon.
Also that clever Mr. Beaks has started putting up a well thought out, very personal list for his best of the decade. Its not done yet but here is part one and part two.
Still not enough lists? How about the 10 best tracking shots of all time (VERY DEBATABLE)!
Analysis: Matt over at the House Next Door has a cool video essay about Clint Eastwood.
"The House" also takes a look at the majestic classic Lawrence of Arabia.
I warn you if you have common sense and good taste you're not going to want to see the content of this article. Ugh, makes my ass pucker in terror.
Interviews:
Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner have lots of funny and clever things to say here. A must read.
The National Board of Review named its best of the year. Its two previous winners (Slumdog Millionaire and No Country for Old Men) went on to win Oscars. Hmmm, I wonder what this means for this year's winner Up in the Air?
Whats on the agenda for the weekend/upcoming week: I finish my Fantastic Mr. Fox review and take a look at Up in the Air and The Room (Yes, THAT The Room).

Ninja Links
Lots of cool stuff this week. Enjoy these links as you unbuckle your pants and sink into your food coma.
Funny: Kevin Smith's merits as a director are certainly debatable (he'd be the first to knock himself, no question). But as an emissary for the Geek world, well, few are as eloquent and hilarious. Check out this recently dug up clip of him breaking down why Twilight is invaluable to the larger sci-fi/fantasy community.
Speaking of Smith, here is part two of an EXYTEMELY candid interview with the man himself.
Here are two very cool very handy guides to defeating movie villains as well as what you need to know if you ever find yourself trapped in the past.
Analysis: A marvelous video essay on Truffaut's 400 Blows. Those guys at the House Next Door never fail to impress.
With the release of Me and Orson Welles cinematical has provided this handy guide for Welles beginners. God I love Welles.
Lists: Devin over at CHUD made his own list for Thanksgiving. This one features his top ten turkeys (which is to say-absolute crap films).
Cracked has compiled a list of 7 popular chick flicks that secretly hate women.
Here's a list of top 14 fictional movies within other movies.
And with the holidays fast approaching you probably want gift ideas for the nerd in your life (you must have at least one in your life if you're reading this blog). No worries, Quint of Ain't It Cool News has your covered here, here and here.

New Link: Part of the Twilight Saga
Ugh, craaaazy week you guys.
Reviews are a comin', promise.
Interviews: Michael Chabon talks about genre. Not that first time he's done it, but its good to know that one of the best living writers of fiction loves comics and crap.
Videos: Every death from Total Recall. To which I say "GAR NOT QUAID!"
For those of you who haven't seen it yet Jason Segel performed with the Swell Season. Phenomenal.
This compilation of every time a werewolf or vampire has danced in a film ALMOST makes the release of New Moon worth it. Almost.
The 101 best music videos of the past decade. WARNING: don't click this link unless you have a bunch of time on your hands.
Analysis: Devin at CHUD wrote a wonderful piece on fantasy and realism in films. I whole heartedly agree with him (except for the part about 300 being good).
The lovely Kim Morgan wrote a blisteringly good piece on Fight Club and its lasting impact in honor of the film's recent Blu-Ray release.
FX rant looks at the cinematography of recent masterpiece, Let the Right One In. Seriously WATCH THIS MOVIE!
Random coolness: Some Kirby inspired artist did a variety of Marvel-esque covers for an Inglourious Basterds comic. Gorgeous
Want to know how long the line rides are going to be at Disneyland? There's an ap for that.

Fantastic Mr. Link
Lots of cool stuff worth sharing this week.
Great vids: One of the best trends that have been developing virally is the use of classic footage to represent modern films. This use of Chaplin footage to replicate the Matrix is awesome, check it here.
Star Wars and I have been on a rocky road for a LONG time. The bulk of internet material produced on this franchise is by-in-large dreck. However, every once in a while you get something like this.
Interviews: Legend Ben Gazzara, delightful Teri Garr, Jake Gyllenhaal & uber-hottie Gemma Arterton, and then there's Britcom guru Richard Curtis. Oh and several bigwigs (Scorsese, Stallone, Sayles and Shatner to name a few) talk Roger Corman.
Lists: Tim Curry's career has been nothing if not prolific and varied, check out 10 of his strangest roles here.
Oh movies that are way more racist then they think are, you're delightful...ly racist.

Links: Based on a novel by Saphire
Hey new and returning viewers, its Friday and that means time for my weekly link round-up.
No time to waste, here are the links.
Fans of 80's cartoons (surely thats a good chunk of my readership), would do well to check out jaroo.com, which is hulu for people who woke up early to watch Nickelodeon, old school Fox Kids and KCOP. Come on people, Super Mario Brother Super Show (AND Link).
slashfilm.com is in and of itself an amazing repository for film-related links but one of my favorite daily features of thiers is daily cool stuff and this Tuesday was no esxception. Look at this cool, yet uynderstated Godfather t-shirt here.
Harry Knowles over at aicn.com has a tendency to getover-enthusiastic, though there are some occassions where this is called for. How about interviewing Rick Baker on the set of The Wolfman? Yeah, I'd say thats worth a little gushing.
My purchase is validated as none other than Martin Scorsese compliments the process' exquisite quality here. Speaking of Scorsese he lists his favorite scary movies here.
If you're like me you're fascinated by the insanity of crypto-zoology. io9.com has found a taxidermist who has made some...well...see for yourself here.
Tune in tomorrow for a review of a certain rehearsal doc that everyone has been talking about.

The Link Guru
Here are some distractions from even thinking about watching Mike Myers rape the corpse of Peter Sellers (I cannot WAIT until that comes up as a google search term for the blog).
Tribute:
AICN has contacted some of Stan Winston's friends and family for an incredibly moving tribute (and has subsequently reminded me why I like the site in the first place). Come read stories from the like of James Cameron, Frank Darabont, Greg Nicotero and Robert Kurtzman (the K and the N in KNB), Rick Baker, Joe Dante, Jon Favreau and Monster Squad director Fred Dekker.
Joblo also put together a nice video montage for the late great Mr. Winston.
Hype:
Speaking of AICN Moriarty got a hold of writer Brian K Vaughn's (Y the Last Man, Pride of Baghdad, Lost) script of Roundtable and the movie sounds AMAZINGLY great. A Brian K Vaughn movie that draws comparisons to Ghostbusters and Back to the Future and written with Simon Pegg and Ricky Gervais in mind?!?!?!!?!!? I'll buy twenty tickets right now!
Funny:
So with rumors of a possible Anchorman sequel swirling about some VERY disturbed, but funny fans have tale the liberty of creating an entire blog of what basically amounts to Anchorman slash fic. ANCHORMAN SLASH FIC!
List:
Wired magazine has a quick run down of great movie metamorphoses.
Etan Recommended:
In conjunction with the upcoming release of the amazing look David Fincher directed, original cast of the fountain starring, Curious Case of Benjamin Button someone is letting you read F. Scott Fitgerald's original novel in chapter installments for the cost of FREE! Bone up your Button and be one of those pretentious know-it-alls who read the book before seeing the movie here.
My friend Ian has spent years writing and directing (and I think even financing) his very original film Invisible Cities. The trailer just went up today and I must admit it looks pretty awesome. Ian has come a long way from hiding dead guys under tables while pretending to be a mother with the world's largest handlebar mustache. Check it out below. I can say I knew him when and of COURSE he'll grant the Sickness Cinema his first exclusive interview.

Link Fist Way
So much good linking action for y'all this week. A lot of funny and a lot of awesome.
LINK OF THE WEEK: As you may have heard Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro will be collaborating with WETA studios on two Hobbit movies, one based on the book and the other acting as a bridging film between the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. At first I was concerned that Guillermo was being taken away from his passion projects to be a gun for hire but reading this amazing chat transcript the two bearded geniuses took part in comforts me a great deal. Be blown away by Hobbit-y awesomeness here.
Funny: College Humor's gorgeous man-candy (mandy?) Patrick Cassels has another amusing film-related write-up about God in the Indiana Jones trilogy. Laugh at face-melting here.
Meanwhile over at Cracked, they've compiled a list of the six least plausible jobs held by Steven Segal in films. Hey, cracked, here's a tip, of the job isn't tubby, pony-tailed douchebag it's not a plausible Segal job.
Cracked has also compiled a list of the eight least intimidating gangs in film history. They're way off about the side gangs in The Warriors. The only one's that should've made the list are the Orphans (seriously, check with their parole officer).
Several kind souls (all of them smart savvy ladies...and Etan) referred me to articles like this about the archeological "inaccuracy" in the Indiana Jones movies. Cute.
Speaking of Indy, the AV Club had some snarky, amusing things to say about the film.
Prurient: I've been listening to the fabulous She & Him Volume One A LOT lately. The group is comprised of studio brat M. Ward and the incredibly adorable Zooey Deschanel (Elf, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and a whole bunch of depressing indie films). Unlike ScarJo, Zooey can really bring it vocally. She's also hot as hell, see?
Lists & Analysis: Scene Stealer's has comprised a list of 10 flops turned classics. Oh in-theater audiences, you never know a good thing even when it's right in front of you.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Link
Well it's been a week full of up and down. Of fond remembrances and mild disappointment. I will say this though, at least it is over. We're well over-do for some smarty pants linking don't you agree?
Analysis and theory: Four GREAT cinematographers discuss how they chose their shooting format. If you're an aspiring filmmaker this is a must read right here.
The Cinematic Art blog discusses the confluence of psychoanalysis, criticism and auterism in the films of Woody Allen.
Nate over at the film experience just finished off a wonderful piece about the greatness that is Sydney Lumet's Network right here.
Turns out Frank and I weren't the only ones who liked Speed Racer. Sergio Leone and the Infield Fly Rule mach-a-go-go here.
Cinema Styles has a cute story about how the line of 2007 isn't going away any time soon. Good.

Iron Link
UPDATE: Hey did you know it's the 25th anniversary of Return of the Jedi? I didn't, and Star Wars used to be every third and forth word that came out of my mouth. Some wonderful people have put this very, VERY amusing video on the inter-web to celebrate. I urge all fans and former fans of the Classic Trilogy to watch. Those who bear with it get a very fun surprise about half-way through.
A heavy weekend of reviews but that doesn't mean I won't be sending you link goodness. Away we go.
Lists: EW, inspired by Cloverfield, made mention of 22 Goofy Movie Monsters. Why must you hate on Clovie Entertainment Weekly?
They do however have a solid list of 25 best big-screen bad girls (you go Mrs. Iesllin and Phyllis Deitrichson).
Analysis and Tributes: The AV Club has some very nice things to say about character actor Ray Wise.
SC Pick of the week: They also did an awesome list of 18 excellent blockbusters, see the system can work.
Nate over on the filmexperience for whom Michelle Pfeiffer is like Amy Admas to me, has 50 great things to say about birthday girl Michelle.
Funny: Just in time for Iron Man, Cracked provides us with 8 pointless laws all comic book movies follow.
They also tell you how to make a Judd Apatow movie, knowing Paul Rudd helps.
Terminator kama sutra. Internet, I love you.
Friend Pimping: My friend Amir got mentioned in Wired magazine, by the members of Human Giant no less (the youtube generation's Mr. Show don'tchaknow), check it out here.

Carold & Humor Go to Blog Castle
I have a bunch of links at the ready for you but today we'll be breaking tradition to just focus on ONE. After much persuading and nudging my friend Cary has FINALLY started his own TV blog. When I tell you this is the best thing to come to the internet since my blog I know what I'm talking about. Cary's subject is TV and that makes this site like his older sister. The site was spawned in part because of this one and I am totally flattered. His taste and mine run very close together and he's a very solid writer. Basically if you visit my site daily you should be visiting his site the second you're done here. He'll be covering all the shows I love but don't have the time to cover here; The Office, 30 Rock, Lost, How I Met Your Mother, Pushing Daisies, Friday Night Lights, Project Runway, Law and Order: SVU and many, many more. From what he's told me he has some very cool recurring features coming up too, so you aren't going to want to miss that!
Believe me when I say that the man loves TV the way I love movies. In fact even when drunk he doesn't call out the names of people he declares his love for TV. THAT, my friends, is devotion to your medium.
So where can you find this Cadillac of TV blogs? Right here. Or you can do what I did and just make http://ijustlovetvsomuch.blogspot.com/ part of your daily website visiting rotation. Well, get on it. By the way, in case you're wondering, my June summer preview will be up later today. Until then enjoy the site.

Screw movie-title puns: It's My Birthday
And in the style of hobbits (how did I EVER get laid?) I'll be giving YOU gifts, the gifts of links.
The one you've GOT to see: This site is compiling every great title sequence EVER. Check out the awesomeness here.
Funny: Last night's 30 Rock was an all-time classic, but last week's was nothing to sneeze at either. Entertainment Weekly has an interview with MILF Island winner Deborah right here.
Someone was kind enough to put Professor Henry "Indiana" Jones Jr. (YOU CALL HIM DR. JONES DOLL!) course syllabus online. It descends into obvious parody after a short time but the concept is still cool. Audit the course here.
The more I hear Jason Segel talk about his new Muppet Movie the more I expect total greatness, also I laughed a little.
Lists: Jeff & Patrick are at it again compiling a killer list of 10 films so bad they haven't been put on DVD yet here.
Times Online has the ten best assassins in film history (it's a decades spanning list, good for them) here.
Killer Film put out the top 10 most difficult to watch movie scenes (fair warning the descriptions are pretty gross too).
New York Magazine compiled a list of New York canon of films. Awww, I miss you already NYC.
Strangeness: Etan hooked me up with this awesome strangeness. Someone digitally removed all the birds from Hitchcock's The Birds. Behold homo-erotic undertones (sans birds) here.
Peter Bretter updated his blog again. Something about how he hates Sarah Marshall.
Someone read Amy Adams body. Yeah...even I thought this one was kind of weird.
Cracked put up a list of 10 scenes of brutal violence that are guaranteed to induce laughter. The first one has Gary Busey saying "Butt-horn" and it all goes up hill from there.

Link@Heart
Oh man, how good were The Office and 30 Rock last night? The answer, so good the goodness rubbed off on Scrubs. I know, crazy right? Onto the links. Warning they are list heavy.
Speaking of 30 Rock, Carold sent me this delightfully named 30 Rock fansite, here. I don't dare spoil the name, see it for yourself.
Music: Oh and before you read anything else you MUST check out the incredible INCREDIBLE music video for the Bjork song Wanderlust. Even if you can't stand Bjork (I dig her but understand she's not for everyone) you should DEFINITELY check out this very special music vid here.
The Playlist blog has a really cool feature where they've complied fictional soundtracks for popular filmmakers based on their previous musical choices. You can download them for the low, low price of free right here.
Lists: Sometimes you see movies ad you respect them but damn they are depressing. Check out the 10 you have to see and then never see again here. While we're at it, here's a list of the 10 most depressing movie endings of all-time too here.
After reading those two depressing lists cheer yourself up by reading about the top 20 movie underdogs of all-time here.
An unconventional but VERY cool list of the greatest movie posters of all times right here.
Analysis & Opinions: Spike Lee has some choice words about the Oscars courtesy of New York Magazine right here.
The Film Snob looks at the late, great Charlton Heston as a comedic actor here.
Because of ScarJo's forthcoming album the Onion AV Club has an insightful piece on actors who've tried to become recording artists. Alternatively thought provoking and hilarious here.

Linkerheads
Just in time for Saturday it's my Friday night links.
Lists: Judd Apatow runs off the films that have influenced his own wonderful style: you might be surprised here.
EW.com provides some of the finest opening credit sequences of all time (complete with video evidence). Get jazzed for the rest of the movie here.
But that's not all EW has a list-y opinion on, check out their favorite top twenty horror films (a fairly respectable list for film novices). Get scared (unless you're Eli Roth) here.
Funny:Jeff and Patrick (handsomest guy in the office [SUCK IT JAKE]) have a run-down of several cinematic sub-genres over at college humor, here.
Peter pointed me to this pointed piece by a famous author about how his work has been eaten up and spit out by the studio system here.
Interviews: Etan pointed me towards a fascinating piece about the relationship between Francois Truffaut and Jean-Luc Godard courtesy of the New Yorker here.
Esquire magazine has two of my favorite cinematic voices; Shane Black and Edgar Wright, shoot the shit. I'd listen to these two guys talk about grass growing, so to hear them talking movies give me a giant cine-boner. Wright vs. Black here.

LAST MINUTE ADDITION: Ok so yeah it's official Mutt Ravenwood's got some moves. AHHHH! This is pretty damn cool. Get sliced by the seed of Jones here.
Comedy: The dashing and handsome Patrick Cassels from Collegehumor.com did a funny, nostalgic piece on some of the familiar faces from the Indiana Jones Trilogy here.
Amusing but true. Cracked.com tells the sad tale of Hollywood's six favorite stereotypes right here.
Ooh the Paley festival, so much good TV getting talked about, check out this Judd Apatow love-in here (be sure to watch the vid for a hilarious anecdote about Mariah Carey from Jonah Hill).
List: Rottentomatoes.com, in honor of St. Patrick's day picked ten great Irish movies. Kiss the blarney stone here.
Here's a fun list of bad (well maybe not so bad, in fact some are a lot of fun) musicals from great directors. Marvel that Popeye ever got made here.
Someone took the time to compose a massive Futurama time-line. For mega dorky fans only here.
Interview: My beloved femmate (female roommate), Dani, pointed me in the direction of this thoughtful interview with Funny Games director Michael Haneke here.
My former professor (and head of Focus features) James "Jimmy Scham" Schamus does a fun piece with his hetero-life partner and collaborator Ang Lee here.
Misc: Ready to kill some time and delight your senses, check out these 25 brilliant animated short films here.
