Here we go, an inaugural Meme that you can fill out in the comments or if you have a blog of your own you can fill out your answers there and link back here.
The First Sickness Cinema Meme:
What is your...?
1. Favorite movie: The Godfather or Mary Poppins, depends on my mood
2. Favorite movie to come back to time and again: The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
3. Best movie that you never want to see again: United 93
4. Last great movie you saw in a theater: Iron Man
5. Last great movie you saw on DVD: Fritz Lang's The Fury
How do you feel about...?
1. The ending of Iron Man: Amazing, bring on the Avengers asap.
2. Jason Segel taking control of the Muppets: Brilliance, can't wait.
3. Manolha Dagis' last editorial in the New York Times about women in film: I think yesterday;s post made it more than clear.
4. The MTV movie awards: Cute, but dispensable. Plus now you can watch the highlights on youtube so why bother with the tedium of the whole broadcast. I am excited about multiple Amy Adams nominations.
5. Ellen Page as Jane Eyre: She can do pretty much anything, why not costume drama.
Who is your...?
1. Favorite actor: Paul Giamatti
2. Favorite actress: Amy Adams
3. Favorite actor (deceased): Cary Grant...maybe Jack Lemmon
4. Favorite actress (deceased): Katherine Hepburn
5. Favorite Director: Terry Gilliam
Which do you prefer...?
1. Sub-titles or dubbing: Sub-titles, no question.
2. Kurt Russel or Bruce Campbell: Bruce Campbell, hail to the king baby.
3. Buttered Popcorn or Salted Popcorn: Buttered
4. Ambiguity or clarity: Ambiguity, I don't mind a little confusion if it doesn't REQUIRE clarity.
5. Characters or plot: You can have a movie with the best plotting ever but no one will watch if there aren't intriguing characters. No one will come back anyway.

The First Sickness Cinema Meme:
What is your...?
1. Favorite movie: The Apartment... or Jaws... or The Jawspartment
2. Favorite movie to come back to time and again: Shaun of the Dead
3. Best movie that you never want to see again: no such animal
4. Last great movie you saw in a theater: Iron Man
5. Last great movie you saw on DVD: The one-two punch of The Umbrellas of Cherbourg and The Mist
How do you feel about...?
1. The ending of Iron Man: the single greatest last line of a superhero film ever ("I'm Iron Man," not all this Avengers nonsense that has me increasingly worried about Marvel Studios' overeager ambitions)
2. Jason Segel taking control of the Muppets: Could only be in more capable hands if I was also working on it. I will gladly be Fozzie's stand in.
3. Manolha Dagis' last editorial in the New York Times about women in film: I'm a huge proponent of strong female leads, and would rather see the new Indy movie lead to a Karen Allen spin-off than one starring "The Beef". That said, Dagis has her head firmly shoved up her vagina.
4. The MTV movie awards: I hate them a little more each year. Plus the fact that they're most nominated film of the year (Superbad) was my no. 2 film of the year makes me question my own tastes.
5. Ellen Page as Jane Eyre: Entirely unnecessary remake. This smacks of a vanity project.
Who is your...?
1. Favorite actor: Steve Carell
2. Favorite actress: Uma Thurman (or Kathleen Turner back in the 80s)
3. Favorite actor (deceased): Jack Lemmon
4. Favorite actress (deceased): Madeline Kahn
5. Favorite Director: Billy Wilder
Which do you prefer...?
1. Sub-titles or dubbing: Sub-titles... unless the dubbing is hilariously bad.
2. Kurt Russel or Bruce Campbell: BRUUUUCE!
3. Buttered Popcorn or Salted Popcorn: Salted. I don't have time for napkins with my popcorn, thank you.
4. Ambiguity or clarity: If you do ambiguity right, it should actually be pretty clear.
5. Characters or plot: This is a stupid question. Characters inform where your plot goes, plot dictates how your characters become richer. You cannot have one without the other. Why not just ask "cupcakes or frosting"?
